The short answer
Start with compatibility. A shaft that cannot be installed correctly—or makes the finished club feel wrong—is not the right option.
The best LA Golf putter shaft for a particular putter begins with the hosel. LA Golf’s current P-Series options use different connection types, so model choice cannot be separated from the head being converted.
Straight in-hosel builds
The official P-Series page describes a straight shaft for L-neck or shaft-in-hosel putters and lists .355 and .370 tip options. Confirm the actual hosel bore rather than selecting by putter brand alone.
Over-hosel builds
The P-Series SoHo page covers an over-hosel design and lists .370 and .390 choices. Bent-shaft heads need further care: a straight replacement cannot simply reproduce offset, toe hang and face orientation created by bends.
Map common necks before choosing
A plumber-neck head commonly presents a straight in-hosel connection, while some slant-neck heads accept an over-hosel shaft. Centre-shafted and bent-shaft mallets can use other arrangements. These are examples, not a rule for every model: measure the actual putter.
Keep the fitted geometry
Offset, face orientation and toe hang can depend on the shaft and neck together. Photograph the original assembly before replacement and specify final length. Review the general compatibility guide and the length-and-lie guide before selecting a P-Series option.
Fit length and balance
Choose the connection first, then set playing length and assess total weight with the intended head and grip. LA Golf’s stability and vibration language is the manufacturer’s description; feel and pace control should be evaluated in the completed putter.
Check grip and shaft together
A heavier grip can shift perceived head weight, while a different shaft changes total mass and impact sensation. Specify both before comparing the final putter; otherwise the shaft may be credited for a change created partly by the grip.
Check before ordering
Photograph the head, hosel and present shaft and measure playing length. Fix It Golf can assess compatibility through club repair and reshafting services in Randwick.
