The short answer
Lie Angle Balance describes the putter’s torque behaviour. Your aim, strike and pace still need to be measured.
MEZZ.1 combines a winged mid-mallet head with L.A.B. Golf’s Lie Angle Balance construction. Its address view, fitted specification and roll can be assessed in a controlled comparison.
Lie Angle Balance
L.A.B. Golf says its self-balancing design reduces torque on the putter face during the stroke. The company presents that face behaviour across its current putter range. Starting direction is the practical outcome to measure in the fitted MEZZ.1.
What the head contributes
The official model page describes MEZZ.1 as a mid-mallet with a winged form. That geometry supplies a particular view and alignment frame. Feel and sound depend on the full build and impact, so universal descriptions are unreliable.
What fitting contributes
Length and lie place the head relative to the golfer’s posture. Grip choice affects hand position. Alignment markings can change aim. Test those features together and record start direction, strike and finishing distance.
Evidence before purchase
Compare MEZZ.1 with your existing club under the same conditions. If MEZZ.1 MAX is also considered, test the larger shape separately. Use the manufacturer’s remote fitting or local putter fitting; contact Fix It Golf for help in Randwick.
Connect construction to the test
The current MEZZ.1 combines a CNC-machined 6061 aluminium body with a 303 stainless-steel midsection, according to L.A.B. Golf. Ten factory balancing weights are distributed across the sole and sides. Those facts explain how the manufacturer builds and balances the head, but the golfer-facing comparison remains concrete: can the player aim the winged outline, return the face consistently and control pace? Read the construction guide, then follow the MEZZ.1 fitting guide for measurement and testing.
Decision checkpoint: Test slight off-centre contact deliberately as well as normal strokes. The size and direction of the resulting pace change is more useful to the individual golfer than a general forgiveness label.
