The short answer

Use the official DJ Signature options to make a shortlist, then compare weight and feel in your own driver setup.

The current LA Golf DJ Signature driver shaft is a real product family, but a tour association is not a fitting result for another golfer. Use the range to create test options, then judge the complete club.

Check the current range

LA Golf’s official DJ Signature product page lists 55, 65 and 75-gram categories and flexes from 2 through 6, subject to current availability. The company describes a constant-taper construction, high balance point and mid launch.

Read the option grid correctly

The weight number is a category, while the exact published mass can vary by flex and model. Flex codes 2–6 belong to LA Golf’s system; use the accompanying letter only as orientation and compare actual builds. A high balance point describes mass distribution, not an automatic speed gain.

Run a two-stage comparison

First compare two weights in the same head and similar profile. Then compare flex or feel within the better weight. This reduces crossed signals. Use the current LA Golf driver overview and strike-led testing guide.

Fit weight before chasing a label

Compare weights at a playable length in the same driver head. Watch contact and shot pattern across normal swings. Flex codes are specific to this family and should not be translated mechanically from another brand.

Confirm the order

Record the exact weight, flex, playing length, adapter orientation and grip. Check the live manufacturer page for current options and policies rather than relying on archived marketing copy.

Verify the exact product designation

Record DJ Signature, weight category and flex code together. A shortened title such as “DJ 65” can omit the flex and generation needed for replacement. Photograph the label before a grip or adapter change obscures useful markings.
