The AXS Blue 105 name survives in legacy listings, but LA Golf’s current catalogue does not publish a matching specification sheet. Treat “105” as label text until the component and its intended club type are verified.

Identify the category

Request photographs of the entire shaft, not only the largest decal. Look for wording that identifies whether it was built for an iron, hybrid or wood, plus any flex code and serial or batch markings. Compare those details with information supplied directly by the manufacturer.

Measure the actual component

Record raw length, tip diameter, butt diameter and installed grip or adapter. Weighing the shaft can help identification, but a gripped or prepared shaft cannot be compared directly with an uncut catalogue mass.

Inspect previous work

Tip sanding, excess epoxy, splits or a butt extension can affect whether the shaft can be reused. Ask which head it came from and its former playing length. The current LA Golf collection does not fill gaps in an older model’s build history.

Interpret weight carefully

If a loose, ungripped shaft weighs near a label number, that still does not prove the label is a mass specification; paint, tip preparation and model tolerances matter. A shaft removed from a club may have lost material through trimming. Record the measurement as evidence, not identity.

Choose the next decision
