The short answer
The current L-Series is a specific heavy graphite option, not a universal upgrade. Test its weight and profile and verify taper-tip compatibility.
LA Golf’s current L-Series 120 iron shaft is a specialised option: the manufacturer lists a flighted, taper-tip design in the 120-gram category. That combination deserves a proper test and a compatibility check.
Understand the published design
The official L-Series iron page lists club-specific shaft lengths and 4, 5 and 6 flex options. Availability can change, so use the live page rather than an inherited specification table.
Test weight and progression
A heavy graphite shaft may suit a player seeking that particular feel and build, but material alone does not determine performance. Compare contact, launch, direction and fatigue with your present iron. Then decide how the result should progress through the set.
Confirm the heads can accept it
Verify hosel bore, taper-tip compatibility, finished lengths and swing weights before ordering. Wedges may match the iron progression or use a separate build depending on how they are played.
Understand a club-specific set
A discrete taper-tip set supplies a shaft intended for each iron number. The builder must match each component to its head and final length; cutting one raw blank to several roles is a different system. Confirm which iron numbers are available before planning the set.
Test the 120-gram category honestly
Compare late-session contact and comfort with your current set. A heavier design can provide a useful sense of the head for one player and create fatigue for another. Use the iron fitting process, then decide wedge continuity with the LA Golf wedge guide.
Plan replacement quantities
When reshafting an existing set, identify every head, its hosel condition and the desired playing length. A partial set or mixed long-iron arrangement can require different component counts from a standard catalogue set, so settle composition first.
Discuss the set
Fix It Golf provides iron fitting, reshafting and loft-and-lie adjustments. See club repair and reshafting services or discuss a fitting with details of the heads and current shafts.
